top knots
Thank heavens for this summer trend! Living in Sacramento it can be God awful to have your hair on your neck and back in the dead of summer. Am I right ladies? Depending on how you are feeling you can wear it sleek and sexy or messy and casual. This is the perfect hair style to be worn to a summer music festival or on a first date.

Inspirational Wednesday
I am so EXCITED to be getting my hair highlighted like this on Monday! This will be the lightest I have ever gone, those of you who know me, my hair is always really dark. Going to lighten it up for SPRING!
Now for the 'inspirational' part..... I will be running my first marathon in June. The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in San Diego. My half marathon did not go as planned, so from here on out I will be training really hard. Hopefully some perks with training for a marathon I will get into shape and have a bikini bod come summer. CROSS YOUR FINGERS :)

The Wicked Witch of the West wasn’t the only one who had a thing for Dorothy’s shoes.
In 2005, someone swiped one of the original pairs of ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz from a Minnesota museum. The pricey shoes—with an estimated value of somewhere between $660,000 and $1 million—have yet to be recovered, though it’s doubtful anyone could get away with wearing them without attracting attention.Glamour Magazine, March 2010

Fun Fact Friday
I know it's not Friday but here it is anyways...
Marilyn Monroe had a pricey birthday suit.
Diamonds might be a girl’s best friend, but rhinestones aren’t so bad either. Especially when 6,000 of them adorn a flesh-color gown worn by Marilyn Monroe. The dress that the original blond bombshell wore while delivering JFK’s birthday serenade at Madison Square Garden in 1962 fetched more than $1.26 million at a Christie’s auction in 1999.Glamour Magazine, April 2010

Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder
I love this picture. Only if everything in life could be this beautiful.
Bohemian Chic is a look that is not only comfy, it is also super stylish. Kate Moss and Nicole Richie have this look mastered.
If you're looking to achieve the bohemian chic look, here are a couple of items that are essential to your wardrobe.
1. Stacked bangles.
2. Oversized top, such as the one pictured. Make it wearable by putting tank underneath.
3. Head piece. You can find them anywhere, Forever 21 or make your own by going to your local Michael's or fabric store.

New York City: birthplace of Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and…the thong.
While the loincloth has popped up in history everywhere from medieval times to ancient Egypt, the modern G-string is rumored to have been born in New York City, near the end of the Depression. In 1939, New York City mayor Fiorello LaGuardia ordered the city’s exotic dancers to be more covered up in honor of the World’s Fair. And, voila, the thong.Glamour Magazine, April '10 issue.

Spring Trend Alert
BRAIDS-- No more of the skinny mini braids that we've seen on Lauren Conrad and Nicole Richie but big CHUNKY braids are now in.
FLOATY DRESSES--Dainty, girlie dresses are both feminine and comfortable for those warm spring nights...
TRIBAL PRINTS-- Are for those bold fashionistas out there. They are fun, eccentric and you're sure to be noticed!

I have finally joined the blogging community, I am very proud to say that I have viewed enough blogs to inspire my own. Bare with me while I go through the trials and tribulations of figuring this dang thing out. I am not the computer savvy individual so this might take awhile...
Daily I surf the web for awwwww inspiring images and this is the one I found today...
